A recent trip to Nashville . . . the first two days.
Hey it's Ali Isabella! As you guys know by now, I'm in love with Nashville, TN. If I ever need to get inspired and be around musicians like me, I try to head down there. Obviously I can't go as often as I'd like but whenever I get the chance, I'm THERE! Even though I always tend to jam pack my schedule while I'm down there with meetings, writing sessions, shows, and of course some sightseeing . . . it still manages to remain a relaxing and happy place for me to visit.

The first morning my mom and I were there was a lot of fun. We started at the Greek diner and filled up on eggs and of course home fries, which I consider to be the best in the world BTW. Once we finished eating, we decided to do just a little cowboy boot shopping and then headed over to Brownland Farm for the horse show. Fudgie the wonder pony won 2nd and 5th place over the course of the day, he was SO cute!!

After obsessing over all the horses, it was time for Opry Land!! We quickly stopped to walk around at the Opry Mills outlets and then one of my favorite places in the world - Grand Ole Opry!! I really dream of playing there one day. Ahh, it would be SO amazing!! Such a special place in Tennessee.

By the time we walked around and took all the pictures we possibly could, it was time for my writing session with Susan Ruth. I always love writing with Susan (and not just because of her wonderful dog Mikey!!). We have so much in common and somehow manage to laugh a lot and always have fun while writing new songs together - I couldn't ask for a better person to work with! After the long day and writing session, it was time for some TV, take out and sleep!

The following day was Easter. The weather was so nice that I decided to take advantage of my downtime (before the week's crazy schedule actually began!) and took a walk in the morning to get coffee and then worked on some catch up assignments for school. Later in the day I was able to do some song writing on my own (can't help but be inspired here!) and then rest up before our big dinner.
We decided to celebrate Easter in a very Nashville way - BBQ style!
We went over to our friends house and just sat outside with everyone and talked and ate, it was so nice! I loved being outside and having a relaxing Easter with some delicious new food!
The week was filled with so much exciting new music, work, and Nashville charm so make sure to check out the rest of my Nashville Diaries in the upcoming days!!
