These last two weeks of Spring Break have been so amazing! Being able to sleep in, no homework and the ability to just hang out and have time to myself to think and reflect on everything that's been happening.
One of the things that really matters to me, Ali Isabella, is that whatever I do with my music, I want it to count. I want to be good, I want to do well, but I also really want to make a difference. My parents have always encouraged me to focus on what matters most; be a good person, treat people with respect, try hard and remember to be grateful for the opportunities that come my way. And, always try to give back as often as I can...try to make a difference!
During break I started writing some new songs and thinking about ways that I can help people my age through my music. Luckily, I have a performance coming up that allows me to do that!
On May 21st I am performing with Debbie Gibson at her annual Gibson Girl Foundation at Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY! To be a part of this event is SO exciting!! Gibson Girl Foundation awards scholarships and instruments to underprivileged children who display talent and have a desire to participate in programs designed to nurture their individual skills in the performing arts. Being able to help kids who want music in their lives but can't necessarily afford the lessons or instruments, is such an honor. And, the icing on the cake-I get to sing a duet with Debbie!! Ahh, I'm so excited :)
In addition to Debbie, I’ll be performing along side some other pretty amazing people too like Dee Snider and Aubrey O’Day. It’s going to be a great night honoring Gary Melius and Ann Liguori and benefitting a charity that makes a difference for kids and music!
In case anyone is interested, please see the invite below and visit the website www.gibsongirlfoundation.org - I'd love for as many people to come as possible!
